How to Use Botany Butter

Things to know …

Botany Butter is an oil combination. It will melt if it gets too warm—like leaving it in the car on a hot day. This will not change or harm the product. Simply give it a little stir and place in a refrigerator overnight to solidify.

Sometimes temperature can cause the Shea butter to crystalize, i.e. “bead-up.” No worries here. If you want to smooth it out, just warm it up to melt, or until it is very soft — you can place it near a stove while cooking or in a warmer place in the house. Once it is soft, just give it a stir and then refrigerate overnight. This rarely happens, but know that it can and it does not affect the product. Additionally, because we are striving for the finest, cleanest, purest ingredients, the plant products we work with can be grown in different regions. This may cause a color variation in the Botany Butter. Rest assured that every batch is checked for quality.

I take my Botany Butter in the shower with me and smooth it on my wet face, then I let hot water pour over me and the Butter pulls into my skin, leaving it feeling soft and moisturized.

Botany Butter is wonderful to use just out of the shower as well. It can be applied to wet or dry skin. Just give it a few minutes to soak in before getting dressed.

Botany Butter is also a wonderful make-up remover! Just smooth it over your face and gently wipe clean with a soft cloth or tissue.

Oh, and did I mention? It packs really well in your hiking and backpacking gear!
